Posted by Elliot Nankervis: A family of Siberian scientists living in the area of Lake Baikal, has been sampling water the lake water every seven to ten days since 1945. The sampling project was passed on to the next generation for three generations, but the research remained unpublished until Marianne Moore of Wellesley College happened to hear of it.
